I picked up this book from the bargain section of Fully Booked and bought it for around a hundred pesos. I was actually pretty excited to read it because I totally enjoyed Irving’s The World According to the Garp. Also, it has Kurt Vonnegut’s comment at the back which reads, “THE MOST NOURISHING, SATISFYING NOVEL I HAVE READ IN YEARS. I ADMIRE THE HELL OUT OF IT”. Yes, it was written in ALL CAPS. And I’m a huge KV fan. But here I am, stuck in page 97.   Now, I remember buying Irving’s Son of the Circus. After reading around 50 pages, I lost interest and use it as a paperweight.
